Shaylin is 17

I am so late getting this posted, but this incredible girl had a birthday on Feb. 9th and is now the big 17!!  I'm not quite sure how that happened so darn fast.

Some things I love about Shay...She is super funny!  She will keep you laughing all the time!  She has such a fun sense of humor!  She is smart!  Straight A's are her thing! She loves math (wierd I know)....lol  She is very kind and loving!  She just got her young woman award!  I love that she loves the lord and has a testimony!
She is such a good girl!  I am so thankfull to be your mom Shay!

Happy 11th Birthday Jake

I ADORE this kid!  He is my only boy and my baby.....and he is a sweetheart!  He is funny and alway's makes me laugh!  He is sensitive and loving!  He is a great helper and He LOVES to talk!  I mean he will talk until your ears bleed!!!!! ...... and I LOVE it (most of the time)  :)  He loves his sisters (most of the time).  He is a great friend!  He is the best son a mom could want and I just want to say Happy Birthday Jake!  I can't believe you are already 11!  I love you bud!

I took some Senior Pictures of Ashley up Paris Springs last summer!  I thought they turned out pretty good for someone who doesn't really know what they are doing with photography!  I hope to get better and better!  Anyway, I can't believe that Ash is already a Senior!  Where does the time go.  I tell her all the time that I remember just like it was yesterday when she used to hold her arms out to me and say " Onna hold you" (meaning she wanted me to hold her).....

Meet Bugsy

In the spirit of catching up, I may be random, but will try to fit it all in!

We adopted Bugsy from Tyra so I thought I'd let you see how he is fitting in so far......

He is a bit of a stinker sometimes, and we still have Sophie and Chloe......yes, 3 dogs is a little much, but we are getting more and more attatched to him everyday and I'd say he is fitting in pretty good!

So.....my mom called me today and asked me to please finally update my blog because she doesn't get on facebook.  My intentions have alway's been to keep up on this so that the memories will be here forever and then I wont feel so bad that I stink at keeping a Journal.  Well I thought I would start by saying that My Beautiful Ashley turned 18 in November and My Beautiful Shaylin just turned sweet 16 on the 9th of this month!  I am one truely blessed mom to beable to have these girls as my daughters! 

Ashley is working two jobs right now and saving like a crazy woman to get ready for college and man that kind of scares me when I think of her heading out on her own soon!  Not that she wont do amazing and be ok, but because it's hard to let go!  She is counting down the day's to graduation!  I do remember those day's and it is exciting! 

Shay is curently looking for a job, but that is not such an easy task these day's.  She spends hours and hours studying and doing the massive and crazy load of homework that goes along with honors classes.  She is my hugger and my entertainer!  She is fun and I love that! 

Yep, I am one lucky mom!  I will definately have to do better at keeping up on this blog......I love it, but find excuses to slack.....and then I think about how bad my memory is and remind myself this will be priceless, cause I will beable to look back and alway's remember!

Some seriously yummy cookies!!!

My friend gave me this recipe.....yum!

Oatmeal Cookies

1C. Shortening
3C. Brown sugar
3 Eggs

Mix the above ingredients

4C. Flour
2tsp. Soda
1/4tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt

Sift above ingredients together and add to mixture

Add:
3C. Cornflakes
3C. Oatmeal
1C. Coconut
1/2 C. Milk (maybe a tiny bit more, you be the jugde)

Bake at 375

I made them again yesterday and also added some sliverd almonds and that was yummy too!  You can also change the cornflakes with wheaties or whatever flake cereal you like!

Sierra

So Sierra had a birthday on July 22, and is now sweet 16! ... and I think she is pretty happy about that! 

I haven't been very good about keeping up with my blog, and I'm not that great at keeping up with my journal, so my goal is to do better about blogging because time fly's and it is fun to look back. 

OK....back to our Sweet 16 girl!  I want to list some things about Sierra! 
      *She is a sweetie!
      *She is musical!  She loves to play the piano and sing, and is good at both!
      *She is neat and tidy!
      *She LOVES to read!
      *She loves to write! (she is writing a book)
      *She is smart!
      *She has tons of goals for herself!
      *She is an amazing friend!
      *She has teeny tiny very neat hand writing!
      *She is a good sport!

We have a new grandbaby!  Yay!  She is beautiful and perfect!  Born at 1:05pm on June 25, 2010 and is 7lb. 4oz. and 19in. long!
