Some seriously yummy cookies!!!

My friend gave me this recipe.....yum!

Oatmeal Cookies

1C. Shortening
3C. Brown sugar
3 Eggs

Mix the above ingredients

4C. Flour
2tsp. Soda
1/4tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt

Sift above ingredients together and add to mixture

Add:
3C. Cornflakes
3C. Oatmeal
1C. Coconut
1/2 C. Milk (maybe a tiny bit more, you be the jugde)

Bake at 375

I made them again yesterday and also added some sliverd almonds and that was yummy too!  You can also change the cornflakes with wheaties or whatever flake cereal you like!

Sierra

So Sierra had a birthday on July 22, and is now sweet 16! ... and I think she is pretty happy about that! 

I haven't been very good about keeping up with my blog, and I'm not that great at keeping up with my journal, so my goal is to do better about blogging because time fly's and it is fun to look back. 

OK....back to our Sweet 16 girl!  I want to list some things about Sierra! 
      *She is a sweetie!
      *She is musical!  She loves to play the piano and sing, and is good at both!
      *She is neat and tidy!
      *She LOVES to read!
      *She loves to write! (she is writing a book)
      *She is smart!
      *She has tons of goals for herself!
      *She is an amazing friend!
      *She has teeny tiny very neat hand writing!
      *She is a good sport!
     
That is just a few things about Sierra!  I love you Sierra!

Bella Rae

We have a new grandbaby!  Yay!  She is beautiful and perfect!  Born at 1:05pm on June 25, 2010 and is 7lb. 4oz. and 19in. long!

Lava Hot Springs!

We went to Lava for the first time in two years!  My kids have been dieing to go......last year just never worked out!  Seems like it was raining everytime we had the time.  Anyway.......boy oh boy did we have a fun time!

Broday LOVED this slide!  He wasn't even remotely scared of it!

Jake loves to go off the diving board.....even the platforms........I didn't realize he was on the platforms at first or I would of so taken a picture of that too!

Happy Birthday Brynn!

We have another Teenager in the house!  Happy Birthday Sari Brynn!  I can't believe it's been 13 year's sience this girl was born!  Ok, so for some things about Brynn! She is my only brown eyed girl!  She is a Baby Magnet! She find's baby's no matter where we are and within a few short minutes, she is holding the baby!  She loves them!  She is very tender hearted, even though she doesn't show it!  She is strong and determined!  She can accomplish anything she sets her mind to do!  She is a busy, crafty, whirlwind!  She keeps everyone on there toes at all times....and alway's has!  She is very fun loving and a very good friend!  She loves people (most of the time)!  She loves to swim, dance, play sports ect.....  We love you VERY much Brynn!  I'm so glad I get to be your mom!
